– Why: Helps improve performance and overall user experience; this data is not tied to you personally.

– What: Crash logs, performance metrics, and other diagnostic information.
– Why: For analytics and app improvement purposes only.
• Other Data:
– Any additional information collected that is not directly linked to your identity.
– Note: The only data directly tied to you is your contact information and name.
3. How We Use Your Information
• Authentication & Functionality:
Your name, email, and location data support account creation and enable core app features.
• Analytics & Improvement:
Usage data, identifiers, and diagnostics help us monitor and improve pattrn’s performance and design.
• Communication:
We use your email address to send app updates, support communications, and important notifications.
• In-App Purchases:
Transaction data is processed by RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and is handled in accordance with RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
• Generative AI Features:
Data shared with third-party services (e.g. OpenAI) for AI-driven insights is anonymized and not linked to your identity.
4. Data Storage and Transmission
• Local Storage:
All data is primarily stored on your device.
• Third-Party Communication:
When data is transmitted (e.g., to OpenAI, Firebase, RevenueCat, or during social sign-in via Google), it is sent in an anonymized format so that personally identifying details are not exposed.
• Data Security:
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data; however, no system is completely secure.
5. Device Permissions
• Camera & Photo Library:
Access is requested only when you choose to capture or select images (e.g., to log a goal).
• Notifications:
Used for habit reminders. These settings are optional and can be disabled at any time.
6. Third-Party Services
pattrn uses the following third-party services:
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchases and subscription processing.
• Google Sign-In: Facilitates social authentication.
• Firebase: Provides analytics and crash reporting.
• OpenAI API: Powers generative AI features; any data transmitted to OpenAI is anonymized and not stored for training purposes.
Each provider is contractually bound to protect your data in accordance with its own privacy policies.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data is shared only with trusted third-party service providers as necessary to operate the app. Your contact information or identifiers are not used for cross-company tracking.
